Who we are
CredRev Financial Services is part of Company of Cars, an independent dealership in Vancouver. We help people finance powersports, RVs, boats and cars. This policy covers credrev.com and any conversation you have with us by phone, email, text or in person.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address.
- What you want to finance, your rough timing, and anything you choose to tell us about your credit situation.
- Answers from our step-by-step questions on the homepage and in the financing form.
- Basic usage data from your browser (pages visited, device type, approximate location) through analytics tools.
Please don't send your SIN or banking details through our forms or by email.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you and talk through your options.
- To match you with lenders that fit your situation, and to prepare an application you decide to submit.
- To keep the records that lending and financial rules require.
- To understand which pages help people, so we can make them clearer.
The soft credit check
When you use our check-your-options tool, you are working with our partner AutoCorp, through its AskAVA tool. The soft credit check is run by AutoCorp with Equifax. A soft check does not affect your credit score. A lender only runs a full credit check if you decide to move ahead with a specific loan. AutoCorp handles the information you enter in that tool under its own privacy practices, which you can read on its website.
Who we share it with
- Lenders, only when we are working on your financing and only as much as they need.
- Our partners that run the soft credit check and the tools on this site, such as AutoCorp.
- Service providers that host this website, store our customer records, send our email, and measure how the site is used.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
How we contact you, and consent
If you tick the consent box on one of our forms, you agree that CredRev can contact you about your request by phone, email or text. We do not send automated marketing emails or texts. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying or emailing chris@credrev.com. We may still contact you about a request you have already made.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics and Meta, to see how the site is used and to measure our advertising. These tools use cookies. You can limit cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as needed to respond to you and meet our legal obligations.
Your choices and deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. Email chris@credrev.com or call 1-888-506-0516. We will confirm your request and respond as soon as we can. If we can't delete something because we are required to keep it, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
